Two Chicago White Sox hitters will share bragging rights in the locker room for at least a week.
That’s because on Monday MLB named both Jose Abreu and Adam Eaton co-AL Players of the Week. The White Sox had a nice week taking 3 of 4 against the Boston Red Sox before dropping the series vs. the New York Yankees at home over the weekend. The White Sox recent surge has been powered by both Abreu and Eaton near the top of the lineup.
Going into tonight’s game vs. the Tampa Bay Rays, Abreu has a 13-game hitting streak and hit .400 with three home runs and 10 RBI over the week.

Meanwhile Eaton, the teams leadoff hitter, has helped spark the White Sox offense by hitting in 11 straight games. Over the last week Eaton has hit .517 with three doubles, a triple, a home run and four RBI’s. He also had three stolen bases during that span.
Heading into Monday’s game, the White Sox were three games back of the AL Wild Card.
