The White Sox rookie adds another honor to his impressive rookie season. Jose Abreu was named to the MLB All-Star Game and will represent the Chicago White Sox for the American League.
The 27-year-old rookie is hitting .276 with 27 home runs and 69 RBI’s for the White Sox this season. He’s currently on pace to hit 50 home runs this year.
It could be the first of many All-Star selections for Abreu.
Another White Sox player was also named to their first All-Star game, as shortstop Alexei Ramirez was selected. Ramirez is having a nice year for the White Sox batting .286 with 8 home runs and 41 RBI.
Pitcher Chris Sale was snubbed.
