Chicago White Sox pitcher Jose Quintana just may have raised his trade value a little more.
The left-handed pitcher tossed eight innings of one-hit ball, giving up just one run, one walk and striking out seven batters as the White Sox beat the Seattle Mariners 2-1 in 10 innings.
Quintana was on all night long and Seattle couldn’t touch the 28-year-old. Despite tossing just one hit over eight innings, Quintana was tagged with the no decision.
So far in 2017 he’s 2-5 with a .392 ERA in 9 starts for the White Sox.
While the performance helped end miserable run of White Sox starters going 0-8 in their last 12 starts, Quintana may have just raised his value a little more.
A report from MLB reporter Bruce Levine earlier in the week stated that the Boston Red Sox and Washington Nationals had been scouting Quintana and other White Sox players as early as last Sunday.
Both teams made a deal with the White Sox in the offseason with the Red Sox landing Chris Sale and the Nationals landing Adam Eaton.
Quintana is the biggest name with rumors swirling but closer David Robertson and third baseman Todd Frazier are also drawing interest from those teams.

It will be an interesting next couple of weeks on the South Side for a team that is rebuilding and looking to stack up prospects.
