ESPN’s Keith Law has released his annual MLB farm system rankings for all 30 MLB teams and there’s a familiar face at the top.
Law ranks the Cubs system #1 in baseball led by star prospects Kris Bryant, Addison Russell, Jorge Soler and Kyle Schwarber. It’s not really a surprise the Cubs have the #1 system, especially after acquiring shortstop prospect Russell last season from Oakland. Chicago has already seen a taste of a few prospects when Javier Baez and Soler were called up last season and this year we should see the arrival of Kris Bryant.
White Sox ranked in top 15
While the Cubs were number one, the White Sox also placed high on the list coming in at #12. The White Sox bolstered their farm system that featured Tim Anderson, Francells Montas and Michan Johnson by drafting pitching prospect Carlos Rodon last year.
Law will release his list of the top 100 prospects tomorrow and we will likely see a good amount of Chicago baseball prospects on the list. You can see the full article with ESPN INsider here.
