The Boozer-less Bulls would face the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedEx Forum on Martin Luther King day. Carlos Boozer sat out with an ankle injury.
Derrick Rose, Luol Deng and Kyle Korver played very well but the story of the day was Korver’s range. Korver scored 20 points while he was 6-10 from 3-point range against Memphis. Ever since his big 3-point shot against the Miami Heat at the end of the game, he has been much more confident in his shot.
Will we see Korver’s emergence as a scorer now that he is feeling the stroke in his shot?
The Bulls defeated the Grizzlies 96-84. Derrick Rose had a triple-double scoring 22 points with 10 rebounds and 12 assists. Rose took a back-seat scoring wise as Luol Deng scored 28 points (11-17 from the field)
Keith Bogans supplied his consistent 4 point contribution to the team. Check out the Bench Bogans campaign that has been started on facebook.
Zach Randolph of the Grizzlies contributed 21 points and 12 boards. Rudy Gay’s last name is gay. I just thought I should point that out.
