The calendar has officially passed Labor Day so the end of the baseball season is near. The Chicago Cubs, led by MVP frontrunner Kris Bryant, hold the best record in baseball as we hit the stretch run.
The Cubs are preparing for the postseason and attempting to do something that hasn’t been done in 100+ years on the Northside. Bryant’s monster season has put him at the center of NL MVP talks and has Cubs fans excited for October.
His success has also made him very marketable. Bryant has starred in a few spots for Red Bull, but his newest appearance might be his biggest.
Bryant joins a list of top athletes including Von Miller, James Harden and Aaron Rodgers to be featured in a new adidas commercial. The spot takes the theme of “Sports needs creators” and mentions “superstition” while showing Bryant with a goat.

The image of Bryant with a goat just gives me goosebumps. It’s obvious Bryant is our gift to end 100-plus years of disappointment for the Cubs, so marketing him with the goat is perfect. When he’s not mashing home runs into the bleachers at Wrigley Field or showing off some awesome adidas cleats, he’s just appearing in great commercials.
And there’s nothing wrong with that.
Look for the new commercial to air Thursday night during the 2016 NFL season opener between the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers.

Anyone know where the Bryant part was shot?
Nope. Maybe LA?
Proud to say that Kris’ part was filmed at Bash Sports Academy, our indoor baseball/softball academy right here on the north side.
That is awesome!!
