The call up of top prospect Kris Bryant by the Chicago Cubs on Friday has been the talk of baseball.
Bryant, rated the top prospect in the MLB by several publications, is expected to be the future of the Cubs and help finally lead them to a World Series. So it’s safe to say the pressure is on. When the 23-year-old didn’t make the roster out of Spring Training it created some conversation and criticism, despite it being the best move by the organization. But now he’s here and Chicago is excited.
Red Bull released this 2+ minute video of Bryant with appearances from Chicago celebrities including Joakim Noah, Mike Ditka and Billy Corgan. The video takes on a Field of Dreams theme and has a powerful moment at the end involving Bryant, a goat and a bus to Chicago. A discussion about the Cubs infamous “Billygoat Curse” is talked about and how Bryant can play a role in ending it.
It’s a very well produced video leaving me with goosebumps after I watched it for the 100th time. Check it out below:
