Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant struggled in 2018 after suffering a shoulder injury that caused him to make a stint on the disabled list. The injury not only caused concerns for 2018 but for the 2019 season.
It was revealed that Bryant wouldn’t need surgery this offseason, which was good news for the Cubs going into Spring Training. On Monday, the team and fans got some reassurance from Bryant himself as he met the media and says his fully recovered from his injury:
Bryant appeared in just 102 games, making 457 plate appearances and hit .272/.374/.460 while hitting just 13 home runs and driving in 52 runs.
The Cubs will play their first Spring Training Game on Saturday as they take on the Brewers.
