The wait is finally over and the outcome is exactly what we hoped for.
Chicago Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant was named the 2016 NL MVP on Thursday night, earning 29 of the possible 30 first place votes.
Just a year ago the 24-year-old was named the NL Rookie of the Year and now he follows it up with a 2016 season that includes a MVP and World Series trophy. Bryant hit .292 with 39 home runs and 102 RBI for the champion Cubs. That included .292/.385/.554 as he beat out Daniel Murphy and Corey Seager for the award.
