The Chicago Bears have ruled linebacker Lance Briggs OUT for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins at Soldier Field. Briggs has missed practice all week with a rib injury that he suffered against the Carolina Panthers.
In addition to Briggs, the Bears have also ruled out safety Chris Conte. The safety is dealing with a shoulder injury that he suffered in Atlanta. For Conte, it’s the latest injury he’s suffered this season as he just cant seem to stay healthy.
The Bears could also be without another starting linebacker as Jon Bostic has been ruled questionable for Sunday’s game. Bostic had limited participation in Friday’s practice.
The good news is that Bears lineman Jermon Bushrod is set to return to game action. Bushrod is listed as probable after practicing today. Linebacker Shea McClellin is also expected to return to action on Sunday. McClellin has missed the past four games with a hand injury.
