Trades
The Chicago Bears could trade up with the New England Patriots (No. 3), Arizona Cardinals (No. 4), and Los Angeles Chargers (No. 5) to take Marvin Harrison Jr. Thursday night. MHJ was selective with whom he chose to meet with this spring, and he did meet with the Bears, suggesting a trade-up is possible.
The Bears might want to make that trade, but those teams will likely be fielding calls from NFL teams who need a quarterback. It’s doubtful Poles will trade quarterback capital to land a wide receiver in a league where only 27% of receivers get a second contract with the team that drafted them.
The more likely scenario is the Bears trade down. Sportskeeda‘s Pauline thinks the Bears’ most likely trade partner for the No. 9 pick is the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts would like to trade up before the New York Jets so they can select Bowers.
If Bowers is the key at No. 9, there are a few other teams that might be willing to trade up to beat out the Colts. The Jets, obviously. But the Cincinnati Bengals really like Bowers, and he’d be perfect on an offense that will likely be unable to extend Tee Higgins (he requested a trade) and lost Tyler Boyd in free agency.
