Get ready Chicago White Sox fans, another prospect is quickly climbing up the pipeline.
Just before the MLB All-Star Break, White Sox General Manager Rick Hahn announced that the team was promoting outfielder Luis Robert to Triple-A Charlotte after he was mashing the baseball in Double-A. On Thursday, Robert made his debut for the Knights and it was an impressive one.
Robert went 3-for-5 with 7 RBI’s and two home runs including a Grand Slam in his debut:
It’s the second multi-homer game of the season for Robert who also hit two on opening day for Winston-Salem earlier this year.
If Robert keeps it up, we could see him on the South Side sooner than we thought and the thought of pairing him up with Eloy Jimenez in the lineup and outfield should be damn exciting for White Sox fans.
