After spraining his MCL against the Chiefs in December and missing the final four games of the season, it looks like Matt Forte will be back to play in the Pro Bowl.
Forte told ProFootballTalk that he passed a physical the Chicago Bears gave him, and has been cleared to play in the game.
This is Forte’s first Pro Bowl selection and a very deserving one indeed. Forte lead the Bears in yards from scrimmage this past season. And until he sprained his MCL, he was top three in the NFL.
He’s due to hit the free agent market in March, after not getting a new contract by the Bears. The Bears plan however is to franchise Forte and not let him hit the open market.
The Pro Bowl will take place January 29th.
