The Powerade Jam Fest and 3-pt shooting contest are always one of the many highlights during the McDonald’s All-American Games festivities. And this year it just got that much better.
On Thursday it was announced that the Powerade Jam Fest and 3-point contest have been moved to a historic location. The event will take place Monday, March 28th and will bring a new experience to the 91-year-old theatre.
Via press release:
For the first time ever, the Chicago Theatre will transform into a half court with the basketball hoop placed upstage center. Front-row seats will flank the center-court circle, putting audience members close to the action.
This will be the sixth-straight year Chicago is hosting the games at the Unite Center, but the Jam Fest and 3-pt contest have previously been held at the University of Chicago or Chicago State University.
Tickets for the event will go on sale Saturday, Feb. 6 at 10 a.m. CST with prices ranging from $20-$45 and can be purchased via TicketMaster or through phone at 1-866-909-GAME. In previous years, the dunk contest has featured stars such as LeBron James, Vince Carter, Carmelo Anthony and Andrew Wiggins.
