Thursday night was a big one for Chicago Bears fans.
They opened up the 2017 preseason schedule against the Denver Broncos as fans got their first look at the team for the upcoming season. That included a dreadful start from starter Mike Glennon and backup Mark Sanchez.
But things changed when Mitchell Trubisky came into the game.
The 2017 second round pick was impressive in his debut and had Bears fans going wild. Apparently Chicago Bears legend Mike Ditka was watching too.
Ditka was impressed with Trubisky’s play and said the rookie made a better first impression than Tom Brady and Frank Tarkenton.
He also gave his opinion on who the Bears should start come Week 1 of the regular season
“What I saw out of Trubiksy for a rookie in his first game I thought was outstanding. “It’s clear cut he should be your starter.”
You can watch the full video from TMZ below:
If Trubisky keeps this play up in the preseason, the Bears might have a choice to make come Week 1. It was only the first preseason game but damn was it exciting for Bears fans.

Since the draft we’ve been happy with Trebisky I understand the fox want to be reserved but if the starters can’t cut it Trebisky is our go to guy go Bears
