Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky was in Wrigleyville on Saturday morning as he is partnering with Gone Rogue High Protein Chips.
Gone Rogue chips pack 17 grams of protein per game and are beneficial for any workout. The Bears quarterback spoke about the protein chips and also about the Bears.
In regards, to Gone Rogue, Trubisky loves the product as he believes that it is the perfect snack for his off-season program before or after workouts.
“I think is going to take over because it has the fulfilling crunchiness of a chip, but it’s healthy like beef jerky because it has the 17 grams of protein per bag,” Trubisky said.
Gone Rogue offers four different bags of flavors: buffalo chicken, bacon chicken, BBQ chicken, and teriyaki chicken. Trubisky’s go-to flavor and the one he recommends to any first time sampler is buffalo chicken.
Trubisky also spoke about the Bears offseason as the NFL Draft was last week and the team used three of their five their selections on offense. Their first two picks were Iowa State running back David Montgomery and Georgia wide receiver Riley Ridley. Trubisky is high on both players who he believes are going to make a big impact on the offense.
“Their both edgy players, very competitive. When the ball is in the air for Riley he believes it’s his all the time and as a quarterback, you love that,” said Trubisky. “The same thing goes for David who is always going to fight for the extra yards.”
An explosive offense will be key for the Bears this upcoming season following the NFL schedule release a few ago. Trubisky is extremely excited to start the season off against the Packers at home on September 5th to kick off the 2019 season and the Bears 100th season.
“You have to take a step back sometimes and realize that we are living the dream as this game will help set the tone for the rest of the season.”
Another Thursday game later in the season will be important to Trubisky as he looking forward to the Thanksgiving game against the Detroit Lions. He missed the Thanksgiving matchup last season due to a shoulder injury suffered four days prior against the Vikings.
“The Thanksgiving game is circled for me because as a kid you are sitting around with your family eating Thanksgiving Dinner and you dream of playing on that Day,” said Trubisky.
The Bears are currently having their rookie minicamp and will have a few more team minicamps and OTAs before reporting to training camp in Bourbonnais in late July. Trubisky is ecstatic for the season to begin as he wants the team to build off on the success of last season.
