It didn’t take long for the Chicago Cubs to make an impact in the 2016 MLB All-Star Game. In fact, it was just the third hitter of the game.
Cubs’ third baseman Kris Bryant took Chicago White Sox ace pitcher Chris Sale deep on the first pitch he saw. Sale mowed down the first two hitters easily before facing Bryant.

Bryant became the first Cubs player to hit a home run in the MLB All-Star Game since Alfonso Soriano in 2007. Sale might get revenge soon however, as the Cubs and White Sox are set to meet for a four-game series beginning July 25.
Prior to that at-bat, Bryant was 0-for-6 against Sale with 6 strikeouts.
