Javier Baez is a bad, bad man.
The young infielder showed off his stuff both offensively and defensively on Friday night as the Chicago Cubs grabbed a 1-0 series lead in the NLDS.
Baez hit a home run in the bottom of the eighth inning off of Johnny Cueto for the game’s only run, giving the Cubs a 1-0 win. Check it out:

It was a pitcher’s duel for eight innings as Jon Lester and Cueto matched eachother until the home run that did the Giants in. Lester went eight innings striking out 5 batters, giving up just 5 hits.
The two teams will meet on Saturday for Game 2 as Kyle Hendricks takes on Jeff Samardzija.
