The Chicago Bulls have traded for Creighton forward Doug McDermott. The Denver Nuggets drafted McDermott with the 11th overall pick and sources are reporting the Bulls have acquired McDermott.
ESPN’s Jeff Goodman has confirmed the report. The Nuggets have acquired the Bulls No. 16 and No. 19 picks in the first round.
The move might hint the Bulls are trying to clear more cap space for a player like Carmelo Anthony or Kevin Love. The cap hold for the 11th pick is $1.9M compared to the $2.7M hold for picks No. 16 and No. 19 combined.
