Loyola-Chicago is rambling on in the NCAA Tournament and Cinderella is still dancing.
The No. 11 seed Loyola-Chicago Ramblers have officially punched their ticket to San Antonio and the Final Four next weekend after a big 78-62 win over Kansas State to win the South Region on Saturday. It’s the Ramblers’ second Final Four appearance ever and the first since the 1963 season when they won the National Championship.
Now, just two games separate the Ramblers and a National Championship.

The Ramblers were able to jump out to a quick 19-7 lead and controlled the pace of the game from there. They dominated Kansas State in the first half by playing stout defense and shooting the ball real well as they took a 36-24 lead into halftime.
Loyola never really looked back in the second half.
They started off the half hot shooting the basketball once again and built their lead to 21. After they had a scoring drought of just over four minutes, the Wildcats were able to cut the lead down to 13 with just over five minutes left in the game.
But then Ben Richardson was the latest Ramblers player to come up with a clutch bucket, hitting a three-pointer that ended a 10-0 run by the Wildcats and gave the Ramblers a 64-48 lead.
Richardson finished the game with 23 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including going 6-of-7 from the three-point line. Marques Townes finished with 13 points and Donte Ingram had 12 in the win.
Following the game, Loyola cut down the nets as they were headed to San Antonio:
