The Chicago Bears draft Cody Whitehair with the 56th overall pick
On Thursday, the Chicago Bears went defense with the 9th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft and in the second round they went with offense by selecting Cody Whitehair out of Kansas State.

They acquired the pick after trading the 41st overall pick to the Buffalo Bills. In that trade, the Bears also acquired a 2016 fourth round pick (117th overall) and a future fourth round pick from the Bills. The Bears then traded that pick to the Seattle Seahawks for the 56th overall pick and a 2016 fourth round pick (124th overall).
The next pick for the Bears will be the 72nd overall pick in the third round on Friday night.
