Programing note: This Sunday will mark one of the rare times that all four NFC North teams will have their games televised in Chicago without having head-to-head match ups.
Buffalo Bills at Minnesota Vikings
Channel: CBS 2
Time: 12:05 pm
Announcers: Jim Nantz and Tony Romo
Lead-up: The Vikings will return home to host the Buffalo Bills following last week’s thrilling tie against the Green Bay Packers. Bills rookie quarterback Josh Allen will make his first road start against a Vikings defense which will be looking for a bounce-back performance after allowing 29 points against the Packers.
Fantasy watch: Minnesota’s offense will be looking to put the game out of reach early so look for a lot of passing from Kirk Cousins. If Minnesota takes a big league, running backs Dalvin Cook and Latavius Murray could see a lot of carries in the second half. For Buffalo, the safest target could be tight end Charles Clay as he might be targeted throughout the game by the inexperienced Josh Allen.
Green Bay Packers at Washington Redskins
Channel: Fox 32
Time: 12:05pm
Announcers: Kevin Burkhardt and Charles Davis
Lead-up: Both teams will be looking to pick up their second win of the season after failing to do so last week. The Packers lost their lead late against the Vikings and settled for a tie while the Redskins were upset at home against the Indianapolis Colts. The game will feature two of the league’s most efficient quarterbacks in Aaron Rodgers and Alex Smith. The game could end up being a back and forth battle and could come down to a late fourth-quarter possession.
Fantasy watch: The matchup will also feature two of the league’s premier tight ends in Jimmy Graham and Jordan Reed. Both have caught touchdowns and have had four or more catches in a game this season. Washington running back Chris Thompson has been one of Alex Smith’s favorite targets out of the backfield and Green Bay wide receiver Devante Adams could take advantage of Washington’s secondary like T.Y. Hilton did last week.
Chicago Bears at Arizona Cardinals
Channel: Fox 32
Time: 3:25pm
Announcers: Dick Stockton and Mark Schlereth
Lead-up: The Chicago Bears will attempt to win their second game of the season following an impressive win on Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks. The Bears defense has been dominant as they currently lead the NFL with 10 sacks. The Arizona Cardinals will look have their first competitive game of the season as they have lost their first two games by 18 points or more and only have score six points this season. If Arizona struggles early on offense again, quarterback Sam Bradford could be benched in favor of rookie Josh Rosen.
Fantasy watch: Running backs Jordan Howard and David Johnson could see heavily workloads for a different reason. The Cardinals best chance of competing on offense is to give Johnson a lot of rushing attempts and to target him in the passing game. Howard could be relied on heavily in the second half if Chicago has the lead and could be used as a closer to salt the game away for the Bears.
