The Air Jordan I is an iconic shoe that continues to be the gift that keeps on giving. Several retros, new colorways and exclusives have been released over the years and 2018 is no different.
On Thursday, Nike & Jordan Brand introduced the latest Air Jordan I collection that will be hitting shelves in early May. This new pack introduces four new colorways of the Air Jordan I that pay homage to some of Michael Jordan’s biggest career achievements. All four are built from suede and leather, combining style with comfort for your feet.
Blue Moon
The first colorway is titled “Blue Moon” and pays homage to Jordan’s 14 career NBA All-Star appearances and is a blue colorway with white and black accents. Inside the shoe on the right sole features a “Straight Flush”.
Track Red
Jordan won six NBA Championships with the Chicago Bulls in the 90’s, helping cement his legacy as the greatest ever. For the “Track Red” colorway, Jordan Brand is paying homage with a white, red and black colorway similar to the “Bred”, “Banned” and “Bred Toe” colorways released in years past. A “six-of-a-kind” hand is on the sole of the right shoe.
Yellow Ochre
To honor Jordan’s five Most Valuable Player Awards, Jordan Brand is rolling out a “Yellow Ochre” colorway. The Air Jordan I gets dressed in a yellow, black and white colorway with the yellow SWOOSH on the side. A royal flush is printed on the right insole.
Clay Green
The final colorway pays homage to all of the awards and accomplishments Jordan has achieved in his career. The Offensive Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Championships and Hall of Fame induction. Clay Green dominates the upper including on the SWOOSH and is accented with black and white. A full house is printed on the right insole.
Each pair will release individually for $160 at global retailers and online on May 5th. Make sure to check back with ChiCitySports for the latest on Jordan Brand and other things Chicago sports.
