If you’re in the market for a new Michael Jordan jersey, well your chance is coming to score a limited-edition jersey thanks to Nike.
Just a day after ESPN and Netflix announced that Jordan was the subject of a new 10-part 30-for-30 documentary, Nike is celebrating Jordan’s career and the 20th anniversary of Jordan’s “Last Shot” as a member of the Bulls. The company will release three Jordan jerseys later in May to honor MJ’s legendary career.
The Authentic away jersey resembles the one worn by Jordan when he hit a jump shot on June 14th in Salt Lake City to beat the Utah Jazz and win his sixth NBA Championship. This one will cost you $400 and comes in a soft touch box with a clear window and magnetic closure.
Swingman versions of both the Bulls home and away jerseys will also be released and will cost $120.
Each jersey is equipped with the NikeConnect technology which unlocks special access to select content from the “Last Dance” documentary that will release in 2019.
This special edition jersey will benefit Friends of the Children, a national nonprofit that selects the most vulnerable children from high-poverty schools and the foster care system, and pairs them with a professional mentor who stays with them from kindergarten through graduation.
