The Northwestern Wildcats started off to a hot start last season going 4-0 in their first four games while leading the NCAA in most defensive stats in college football. As soon as Big Ten Conference play started the Cats lost the remainder of their games all the way up to their final game against the Illinois Fighting Illini, in which they won.
Heading in to 2014-15 the Big Cats are looking at a few new faces and more old. Having star runningback Venric Mark for a 5th year is great and the return of QB Trevor Siemian is just as good. The Cats are looking at a sort of average first three games of their season as they take on the California GoldenBears, Northern Illinois University, and Western Illinois Leathernecks. Don’t see why the Cats can’t open up 3-0 once again this season as they did last, but from there the Cats will have to find a way to win in Big Ten Competition.
