McDonald’s has announced its list of high school senior basketball players who have been nominated for the 2014 McDonald’s All American Games. The games will take place April 2 at the United Center in Chicago.
The list features 1,000 players from 44 states and the District of Columbia as nominations for the 2014 All American Games. The final roster includes 24 boys and 24 girls that will be selected for the teams.
Chicago is represented well with top players Cliff Alexander (Kansas) and Jahlil Okafor (Duke) being nominated.
Included in the nominations are 13 prep stars from the state of Illinois. Here are the Illinois nominations:
Boys
- Cliff Alexander (Curie High School), Chicago.
- Keita Bates (Diop University High School), Normal.
- Victor Law (Saint Rita High School), Chicago
- Dominique Matthews (Saint Rita High School), Chicago
- JayQuan McCloud (North Chicago Community High School), North Chicago
- Jahlil Okafor (Whitney Young High School), Chicago
- Miles Reynolds (Whitney Young High School), Chicago
- Tyler Ulis (Marian Catholic High School), Chicago Heights
- Paul White (Whitney Young High School), Chicago
Girls
- Amarah Coleman (Homewood Flossmoor High School), Flossmoor
- Kortney Dunbar (Edwardsville High School), Edwardsville
- Khaalia Hillsman (Whitney Young High School), Chicago
- Jasmine Lumpkin (Joliet Catholic Academy), Bolingbrook
The final 24 player rosters will be announced on January 29, at 5:00 p.m. CT on ESPNU.
