Following the 14 inning loss by the Sox Ozzie finally lost it, “Our offense fucking sucks after the ninth.” He said after watching Corey Patterson hit a walk off vs. the Sox, “It went from a very good game to a very horseshit game,” that it did as the Sox squander opportunity after opportunity “I’ve been watching the same shit a lot of times with men in scoring position”, these blown opportunities must be draining him because he later said, “I’m drained now. I feel like I’m in September right now. You can ask my coaches. We feel the same way … And we’re not even in fucking June.”
Then he continued his tirade before Sunday’s game, “I wish I didn’t feel anything for this game. I wish I didn’t care about the White Sox, what the general manager, fans and media think. I wish I could say, ‘(Bleep), I don’t give a (bleep).’ I can’t. I try to put it in my mind that I don’t (care), but I can’t because I love baseball, I love this organization and this is a job I want to do.”
Then he became critical of the fans following the game “They only remember us from 2005. In 2020 we’ll come here in a wheel chair all fucked up. As soon as you leave the ballpark they don’t care about you anymore. They don’t. The monuments, the statue they got, they piss on it when they’re drunk. That’s all they do. Thank you for coming, bye-bye.”
Also following the game Ozzie came to the defense of his coaches, “We win three in a row and nobody says (Don) Cooper is a great pitching coach, Greg Walker is great,” Guillen said. “All of a sudden we lose two games and they all want to fire us. Wow. That’s nice. I’m not complaining about that because I play. That’s part of the game. When the players are good you’re good, when the players are bad they’re still good. We’re the bad guys.”
After these quotes, and more, were made public by the media Ozzie hopped on Twitter to defend his comments, “Thas bull crap what the media print today about celular field and the fans,” another showed his appreciation of Sox fans, “What a hell I going to say bad thing about white sox fan they are behind me all my carrer a less most of then,” Others denied his comments about the drunken peeing of Sox fans.
