Patrick Kane has done something that just five other players in Chicago Blackhawks franchise have accomplished.
The 29-year-old Buffalo native became the fifth Blackhawks player to reach 800 career points, accomplishing the feat during Saturday nights game at home against the New York Islanders. Kane tallied the first goal of the game in the first period, then added his second point on an assist in the second period.

The next milestone for Kane is point No. 900. He’s behind Blackhawks legends Stan Mikita (1,467 points), Bobby Hull (1,153), Denis Savard (1,096) and Steve Larmer (923).
Kane has also been one of the more consistent players in the NHL since his debut, trailing only Alex Ovechkin (887) and Sidney Crosby (856) in points during that time period.
While it was a historic night for Kane, the Blackhawks dropped the contest 7-3 as their struggles continue.
