The White Sox have placed reliever Tony Pena on the DL with Elbow Tendonitis and have called up Lucas Harrell in his place. The Tendonitis flared up on Saturday as Pena was seen with a wrap on his elbow in the clubhouse. This was an issue last month as well.
Pena this year has gone 1-1 with a 6.20 ERA over 20.1 innings pitched. Harrell, 26, has gone 4-2 in 9 games (8 starts) with AAA Charlotte compiling a 3.54 ERA over 48.1 innings. Harrell lost out in the 5th starter spot to Phil Humber in spring training.
