The wait is over Chicago Bears fans. Training Camp is officially here as the Bears arrived to Bourbonnais on Wednesday.
While the team arrived on Wednesday, the first practice won’t begin until Thursday and first padded practice scheduled to begin on Saturday. Today Bears general manager Ryan Pace, head coach John Fox and players met the media.

John Fox and Ryan Pace
General Manager Ryan Pace and John Fox updated the media with injuries including rookie WR Kevin White being placed on PUP to start training camp. Quarterback David Fales will also start on the PUP list due to an illness.

Pace and Fox did say that Bostic, Young and Houston will be built up slowly and could be ready for opening day vs. Green Bay.

Ryan Pace says #Bears LB Jonathan Bostic has been cleared for practice after missing all offseason with a back injury.

Pace spoke about the chemistry: “We feel like it’s strong heading into camp and that’s a good thing.” He also touched on camp. “We are going to try and make it as physical as possible, per the CBA rules.”
Jay Cutler
One of the biggest storylines going into the season is Bears quarterback Jay Cutler, again. Cutler showed up to camp sporting the flow and addressed the media:

Cutler on DeflateGate and PSI of footballs:
“I’m not surprised by the ruling, Goodell has a history of upholding.” – Cutler said. “What’s the low end (PSI).”
Cutler on John Fox:
“He’s going to tell you how it is.”
Kyle Long
- The Bears offensive lineman spoke on what position he would be playing next season. When asked, Long said he expects to stay at Right guard: “Yeah, they haven’t told me anything else.”.
- Long also had some strong words on last year’s team, hinting at the problems in the locker room.
- Long was also sporting a Cubs hat at his presser, he visited Wrigley Field for the first time this week.
- “The pressure is on both sides of the ball this year,” Long told reporters.
