Pisa Tinoisamoa is getting another crack at playing for the Bears. The Chicago Tribune is reporting from multiple sources that Tinoisamoa is scheduled for a workout on Wednesday at Halas Hall.
Tinoisamoa has struggled with knee problems through out his career and had major knee construction at the conclusion of the 2010 season. This was the 3rd surgery Pisa has had on his right knee. His scheduled time of recovery landed in October which is right on schedule.
Depending on if Pisa’s knee during the workout, he could find himself playing for the Bears in the coming weeks. Since he already knows the system and is arguably better than current starter Nick Roach, he very well could press for playing time this Monday against Detroit.
Keep in mind this ALL depends on how healthy his knee appears to be. If the workout goes well, I don’t see any reason why the Bears wouldn’t bring him back onto the roster. He will at the very least provide depth to the 53 man roster which only has 5 linebackers on it. One of which was an undrafted free agent in Dom DeCicco.
Pisa started 10 games last season and compiled 51 tackles a sack and a forced fumble.
