President Barack Obama is a big Chicago Sports fan and he’s not afraid to show it.
He welcomed the 2015-16 NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers to the White House on Thursday, to honor the team for their title. The Cavaliers came back from a 3-1 deficit to beat the Golden State Warriors, a team that won 73 games last season.
They beat the regular season record of 72-10 set by the 1995-96 Bulls but didn’t win it all. Obama reminded everyone of that and thanked the Cavaliers:
.@POTUS: "By knocking off the Warriors, they cemented the 1996 Bulls as the greatest team of all time. Your President thanks you for that." pic.twitter.com/mGGQ2hYSDk

He also wasn’t shy to remind everyone that the Warriors blew a 3-1 lead to lose that Finals series.
