Finally the White Sox walk away with a series win after defeating the Minnesota Twins in two of three games in Minnesota. However, Robin Ventura and the boys will look to keep things rolling as the Pale Hose head to Anaheim to take on the Angels for the second time in a week. The first series didn’t go the way the Sox would have liked as it took a one-hit performance from Chris Sale to knot the Sox their only win of the series on Mother’s Day. This series, everyone will be looking for better results as the offense seems to be heating up, as the Sox have had ten or more hits in their past three games, and they just came off their highest single-game run total all season (9).
The South Siders are still very much in the division race despite performing so poorly, and a couple of series wins in a row can put them right back in the hunt. With that, the Sox won’t have the hardest road to winning this series as the Sox seem to have their four strongest pitchers on the bump while the Angels have two strong pitchers and two poor pitchers. If there has ever been anytime that the Sox need to step-up it’s now. In my opinion, if the White Sox do not take three of four from the Angels this series is a disappointment.
