The 3 game White Sox winning streak ended after a 4-2 loss in Arlington tonight.
The White Sox scored one run in the fifth on Alex Rios’ double and stolen base and Carlos Quentin’s infield hit. They scored another run in the sixth on an Alexei Ramirez’s run-scoring single, but Wilson managed to strike out Donny Lucy with the bases loaded and two outs on the ninth pitch of the at-bat.
Buehrle did his thing once again was pretty good but the offense could only muster up 2 runs. Not the way you want to start a 6 game road trip.
The Bullpen for the Rangers was stellar as Nippert and Fransisco combined for 3 scoreless innings. Matt Treanor was another bright spot as he hit a big home run early, coming hours after of there two catchers from the Opening Day roster were sent down to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
After going 2-0 to start the season Buehrle has lost 3 straight decisions. On a good note (I guess?) Carlos Quentin snapped his 1-34 streak as he knocked in a run on his RBI Single. Alexei also had an RBI single that scored Beckham.
Winning Pitcher: Wilson
Losing Pitcher: Buehrle
The Sox face these same Rangers in Arlington, tomorrow night at 7pm CT.
