We are just a few weeks away from the 2019 NBA Draft and the prospect workouts have already started to begin for teams.
We know about a few workouts so far for the Chicago Bulls including Clayton Custer, Juwan Morgan, and even LaGerald Vick. Prospects projected to go in the Lottery working out will happen as we move forward in June but the Bulls may have made a promise to one prospect.
Per Steve Kyler, the rumors swirling around the NBA right now include one that states the Bulls have promised North Carolina point guard Coby White that they would take him No. 7 overall. Here is what Kyler is reporting:
That’s a pretty big promise from the Bulls if true, especially when there are at least three other teams in front of them that also need a point guard. Ja Morant is projected to go No. 2 overall and after that it could be White or Darius Garland as the next point guard off the board.
There have been some connections for the Bulls and White by various outlets out there and he appears to be their guy if he is there at No. 7. This also could be a smokescreen and the Bulls could have their eye on someone else.
In just one season at UNC, White was fantastic for the Tar Heels. He started in all but one game and got better as the season went on. White averaged 16.1 points, 4.1 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game while shooting 42 percent from the field.
