The Chicago Bulls have been mentioned in plenty of Kevin Love off-season rumors and it’s only June. Now a report from Jackie MacMullan says the Bulls have put out an offer to acquire the Minnesota power forward. The report comes just days after Love was spotted at a Boston Red Sox game with Celtics guard Rajon Rondo.
While Love to Boston is also a possibility, MacMullan states the Celtics package currently trails the Bulls and Kings package. The rumored offer from the Bulls is known to be a combination of Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson and Carlos Boozer. The Bulls also have draft picks to include.
Here’s what MacMullan had to say about the deal:
The Timberwolves privately maintain they already have fielded better offers from other teams, among them the Chicago Bulls, who can offer draft picks and some combination of Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson along with whose bloated $16.8 million contract expires next summer and represents the kind of cap space rebuilding teams crave. If you are Kevin Love and can choose to join a team with top dogs Derrick Rose and , which way are you leaning?
The addition of Kevin Love to play alongside Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah makes the Bulls a threat again in the Eastern Conference and presents a challenge to Miami. The offer could change however as the NBA off-season is long. What will Minnesota do?
