Fox Sports Ken Rosenthal is reporting that the Chicago Cubs will sign catcher David Ross to a 2-year, $5 million deal. The former Red Sox catcher was mulling a decision to return to the team or join a new team.
Earlier reports suggested that Ross could sign with the Padres, who just acquired Justin Upton from the Atlanta Braves. The 37-year-old catcher hit just .184 for the Red Sox last year in 171 plate appearances.
