After trading wide receiver Brandon Marshall, the Chicago Bears were in need of a wide receiver to compliment Alshon Jeffery.
Chargers beat reporter Michael Gehlken reports that the Bears will sign wide receiver Eddie Royal. The 28-year-old Royal played with quarterback Jay Cutler in Denver in 2008. In 2008, Royal had 91 receptions and five touchdowns for the Broncos.
I'm told WR Eddie Royal will be signing with The Chicago Bears. He loves Jay Cutler per sources.

Royal spent three seasons with the Broncos before moving on to the San Diego Chargers where he spent the last three years. The wide receiver gives the Bears a nice speed option on the outside to compliment Jeffery and Marquess Wilson.
