As the Chicago Bears near the deadline on deciding what to do with Jay Cutler, there has been speculation on if the team is shopping the quarterback.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen just squashed any of those rumors as he reports the Bears are NOT shopping Cutler and expects him to be the quarterback in 2015. Mortensen’s report refutes a earlier report by 670 The Score’s Dan Bernstein who said the Bears were actively shopping the 31-year-old quarterback. The rumors of Cutler gone this year carried some weight as the team decided not to publicly support the quarterback at the NFL Combine.
Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun Times has backed Moretensen’s report with 3 sources.
Cutler is set to make $15.5 million in 2015 if he is on the roster after 3 p.m. CST on Thursday.
