Relax Bulls fans, Jimmy Butler isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
According to Yahoo! Sports reporter Adrian Wojnarowski, Butler and the Chicago Bulls are finalizing a 5-year-deal worth $95 million. The deal will take him off the market as a restricted free agent and keep him in Chicago. The deal includes a player option for Butler after the fourth year.

The 25-year-old Butler is coming off a career year with the Bulls after he turned down a four-year, $44 million offer in October by the team. Butler gambled on receiving a larger offer and it paid off for the wing. Reports of Butler wanting to play elsewhere swirled the past few weeks.
Butler averaged 20 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.3 assists in a breakout year for the Bulls. He also won the NBA’s Most Improved Player award.
Now the Bulls get their emerging superstar back as they hope Derrick Rose can stay healthy as they attempt to dethrone LeBron James and the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference.
