With General Manager Ryan Pace making three moves since Monday, many around the league have hinted what could come next.
Today NFL writer and radio host Benjamin Albrecht is reporting that two sources in Chicago say the Bears have running back Matt Forte on the trade block. There’s been some speculation that the Bears could trade Forte as his contract will expire after this season. A trade would bring something back to the Bears for Forte, rather than letting him just walk.

The 29-year-old running back will be looking for his third contract which is expected to be large. If the Bears aren’t willing to pay Forte the money he wants, he likely will sign elsewhere. Yahoo! Sports’ Eric Edholm points out that the Bears should trade Forte now while the value is still there.
Forte is having another successful season in Chicago as he’s racked up 276 yards on 59 carries and a touchdown. In his career, Forte is the second on the Bears all-time list of rushers behind the great Walter Payton. Forte has rushed for 7,980 yards and 42 touchdowns in his career. He also has 452 receptions.
The tweet also discusses another possible trade block player in Alshon Jeffery. The wide receiver has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury and is looking for a new deal after the season. Albrecht says the Bears aren’t shopping Jeffery and its believed that they are willing to pay for the receiver when the time comes.
Stay tuned because it could get crazy in Chicago.
