The Chicago sports world was rocked by two major injuries last night as Blackhawks star Patrick Kane and Bulls star Derrick Rose will both miss significant time due to injuries.
Kane was cross-checked by the Panthers Alex Petrovic as he fell awkwardly into the boards and is now dealing with a broken collarbone according to Chris Kuc. After the hit, Kane seemed to be favoring his shoulder and wrist as he skated off the ice bent over.
Hearing it is a broken collarbone for #Blackhawks' Patrick Kane but that is NOT confirmed.

With the NHL’s injury policy, the news was revealed in a report last night by Kuc saying that Kane will likely miss 6-10 weeks and could even miss 10+ weeks. The Blackhawks are going to the playoffs, but without Kane their Stanley Cup hopes have taken a huge blow.
Another source said #Blackhawks' Patrick Kane will be sidelined more than six weeks and possibly up to 10-plus weeks.
