The Bulls defeated the Pacers saturday night 110-89 at the United Center. They finished their homestand to advance to 5-1. Rose played despite having 2 stomach ulcers and had a great game, as did Boozer and crew. Late in the game Taj Gibson left the game with an ankle injury.
Oh yeah, Ronnie Brewer dunked on Josh McRoberts and thoroughly embarrassed him in front of his peers.
Carlos Boozer had 24 points and 10 rebounds, Derrick Rose added 20 points and seven assists and Luol Deng contributed 19 points and a career-high-tying eight assists as the Bulls defeated the Pacers 110-89 Saturday night at United Center.
The Bulls finished their season-high, six-game homestand with a 5-1 mark and have won four straight and eight of nine.
Rose missed six of his first seven shots as he continued to battle stomach ulcers that have prohibited him from eating a solid meal for four days. He had five points at halftime but hit five of seven shots in the third and finished 8-for-17 overall.
Josh McRoberts scored 15 of his 20 points in the third, including 10 straight for the Pacers.
Pacers coach Jim O’Brien was ejected for his second technical foul with 3 minutes, 23 seconds left. That followed Ronnie Brewer’s resounding dunk and three-point play on McRoberts, who also drew a technical that led to a five-point Bulls possession.
About the only downer came when Taj Gibson rolled his right ankle in the fourth quarter and didn’t return. He eventually walked from the locker room back to the bench under his own power, though, after needing training personnel to help him to the locker room.
