The long awaited match-up lived up to it’s name, sort of. LeBron James was ruled out with a sprained ankle, missing his 2nd game in a row. Despite LeBron not playing, there was not a single person in the United Center who felt jilted for their price of admission.
The Bulls won the game 99-96 over the Heat. With 4 seconds left on the clock, the Heat went to Dwayne Wade to tie the game and he would muster up an air ball.
Derrick Rose had 34 points and 8 assists. Rose 1-upped Wade, literally. Dwayne Wade had 33 points and with the game on the line, missed the shot to send it to over time.
The Heat have bigger problems to worry about then losing to the Chicago Bulls. LeBron James has missed two games in a row, and Chris Bosh left the game early with an ankle injury of his own. It will be interesting to see how the Heat respond without two of the Big Three (given that James/Bosh do not play the next game due to their injuries).
Bull fans have to be ecstatic about this victory. Kyle Korver came up with a huge 3 pointer for the lead at the end of the game after a loose ball, Derrick Rose was Derrick Rose as usual, and well…the Heat lost another game.
