Sports Illustrated reported in this weeks issue that Derrick Rose shared his approach to recruiting last season’s NBA MVP, LeBron James.
A motivated Derrick Rose sent a text message to LeBron but never looked back to recruit him any harder. No reports have followed on if or how LeBron James responded.
“I’m just hitting you up to kill all the rumors that I don’t want to play with you. I’d like to play with you. I just want to win.”
A bold statement coming from a young player, against comments of Rose not wanting to play behind LeBron.
After the All-Star game, and a recent Bulls-Heat contest, there appears to be no animosity between the two players or any indication that goes against the earliest speculation against Rose. Discretion may keep both players on a professional level, although the late reports may just be such, late.
