The Cubs will head to the road for that first time of the season and wil battle the first place Cardinals who have a record of 5-2. Opposite of the Cubs 2-5 record. If the Cubs can keep getting great starts from their starters and timely offense, it may start to get interestting. I don’t think a team will run away with the division and the Cubs could be a surprise team if they can fix their ‘pen.
The Cubs will begin the 3-game series today:
Game 1: Jeff Samardzija vs. Adam Wainright – it’ll be televise on WGN at 2:05 p.m. central, MLB Network and radio WGN 720
Game 2: Chris Volstad vs. Lance Lynn – it’ll be televise on FOX at 12:05 central and radio WGN 720
Game 3: Paul Maholm vs. Jake Westbrook – it’ll be on CSN at 1:15 p.m. central and radio WGN 720
Let’s hope Jeff Samardzija can have a repeat performance! Go Cubs!!
