Jake Peavy is still winless on this young season. However, he has not looked good at all in any of these games. He has been wild and out of the strike zone and when he throws it in the zone the opponets blasts it out of the ball park.
Jake was roughed up in the 1st inning giving up 5 runs, which 3 walked batters touched home. However he did settle down and pitch 5.1 more innings giving up only one more run.
Small came into effect at it’s finest tonight as the Sox had runners on 1st and 2nd and failed to convert. Rios grounded out to second where the Sox then had runners on 1st and 3rd 1 out. Paulieeeee came up and grounded into a slow rolling double play. Carlos Quentin came up in the small department(sarcasm again) with a 3 run home run in the 6th inning.
Omar Vizquel once again showed why he should retire as he had 4 AB’s and struck out two times and walked twice. Omar is now 2-22 on the season.
Mark Teahen, who has gotten his average up to .275 had 3 plate apperances and failed to get a hit, same goes for Kotsay(WE WANT ANDRUW JONES). Teahen and Konerko were also hitless.
A.J. and ALexei tried to start a late inning rally but the Sox couldn’t get enough runs as the Rangers won 6-5
The Bullpen was a bright spot as they came in for 2.2 innings and allowed no runs.
Rich Harden picks up the win and Peavy the loss as the Sox look to salvage one game of the series tomorrow night in Arlington.
This is BigP, til next time, so long everybody.
