The Sox bats wer hot early and often today as the Sox tied the series 2-2. In the first Alex Rios singled to left which scored Juan Pierre. The hot hitting Mark Kotsay then stepped up and knocked in A.J. to make it 2-0 after 1. Alex Rios then left the ball park with a 411 foot home run to make it 3-0.
The Rays bats were hot in the bottom of the 3rd as Ben Zorbrist took one deep to make it a 3-1 game. In the 5th it was again Zobrist this time with the sac fly. All-star 3rd basemen Evan Longoria singled to left to tie the game at 3.
The story of the game though was Jayson Nix who in the 6th cleared the bases with a grand slam to make it 7-3. In the bottom half of the inning the Rays would get 2 runs back but that is all they would get.
Omar added an insurance run with an RBI double in the 8th to make it 8-5, and that’s how it would end.
