Game 1 – LAA 4 Sox 3
The Sox were unable to get to Jered Weaver and fell 4-3 to the Angels. The Sox were only able to get 5 hits against the Angels pitching staff, 2 of which came from Alexei Ramirez and one was Adam Dunn’s first US Cellular homer. Philip Humber pitched 5 innings giving up 4 runs, 2 earned, on 6 hits while striking out 4.
Game 2 – LAA 7 Sox 2
Carlos Quentin hit his 100th career homer but the Sox were unable to beat Rookie Tyler Chatwood. Konerko hit his 4th of the year and Juan Pierre went 2/3 but the Sox were able to only score against the Angels pitching. Gavin Floyd was rough going 6 and surrendering 6 earned runs on 8 hits and 2 walks and struck out 3, Will Ohman pitched 1/3 of an inning and Tony Pena went 2.2 scoreless.
Game 3 – LAA 4 Sox 2
Mark Buehrle was a hard luck loser again going 7 innings surrendering 10 Hits but only 4 runs and struck out 5. The Sox again were unable to get through to the Angels pitching managing only 2 runs on 8 hits Carlos Quentin and AJ had 2 each. Buehrle gave way to Jesse Crain would pitched 2 innings of 1 hit baseball. Mark Buehrle picked Kendrick off at first.
