The first game left much to be desired as the Sox fell 7-4 and ran their losing streak to 3 in a row. They managed only 4 hits off Rangers pitching but the Rangers bats lit up starter Jake Peavy to a tune of 7 ER on 6 hits over 6 innings.
John Danks twirled a gem in game 2 going 7 innings surrendering 2 runs on 7 hits. But Alex Rios was the story driving in the deciding run with his 20th 2 bagger of the year helping the Sox to a 3-2 win. Sergio Santos earned his 26th save of the year.
The finale saw yet another gem, this time from Gavin Floyd. Over 7 innings the right-hander allowed 0 runs on 3 hits. Sale and Frasor each pitch a scoreless inning. The hitting was on fire with 7 of the 9 starters getting at least 2 hits and the Sox scoring 10 total runs.
